Sample of Work

Consulting and Freelance Web Development

Kew Gardens, New York — 2008-2012

I work with clients to strategize, build, and deploy simple web solutions. I use Django for most tasks, falling back on PHP and the like when (rarely) necessary. I deploy nearly every site/application I build on a Linux/PostgreSQL/ Python2.7 stack that I have hand-tailored from the ground up.

I fly often to meet with clients discussing problems ranging from content management to legacy database infrastructure.

Accomplishments

  • Built an online client account system to check order status
  • Integrated a customer loyalty rewards program
  • Strategized and built a complex quote submission system
  • Made numerous search-engine compliance enhancements using Google Webmaster Tools, proper HTML5 structure, and microdata
  • Built and managed an email server hosting over 100 accounts on Linux using POSTFIX, Dovecot, Amavisd, and SpamAssassin
